People and invitations

People who are on call need to be in Noci AI first. Noci never creates a person from a chat, and your assistant cannot invite anyone. It prepares the list, and you send it.

  1. Tell your assistant who is on your team. Give each person’s name and email. It can also suggest a role: viewer or operator.
  2. Your assistant asks Noci for a people link. It holds up to 200 people.
  3. Open the link. You see the list, with each person ticked.
  4. Choose the role for each person: admin, editor, operator or viewer. Your assistant can only suggest viewer or operator, so each person starts as one of those. Someone becomes an admin or an editor only if you choose it here.
  5. Choose Send. Noci sends every invitation at once and shows the result beside each person.

Each row says what happened: invitation sent, already in this workspace, or could not send. If a few did not go, press Send again. It sends only the rows that did not go.

Only an admin can send invitations. If you are not an admin, the page tells you to ask one.

Provisioning people from your sign-in directory: Single sign-on (SSO) and SCIM provisioning Coming. Until then, invite people with the link your assistant gives you.

A person is paged on one phone number. Noci picks it in this order:

  1. The number the person set for themselves, or an admin set for them. A person can also choose to have no number, and that choice wins over everything below.
  2. The number from your identity provider.
  3. The number brought over from your old on-call tool.

If you convert from another tool, its numbers are used straight away. There is nothing for anyone to confirm. Noci trusts a number from your old tool the same way it trusts one from your identity provider.

If a page to a number fails, Noci marks the person: “Last page to this number failed”. You see it on the members page, and the person sees it in their own settings. They fix it by setting a number. The mark goes when the next page is delivered or the number changes.

Your assistant does not ask for phone numbers and does not repeat them.
